Mymood and Moolemia

Mymood Khan was from Unnao (Uttar Pradesh) and Moolemia was from Gorakhpur. They arrived in Natal on the Blenheim II which sailed from Calcutta and arrived at Port Natal on  11 October 1874.They met on the ship and married in South Africa. They Indentured at Harrison, H.P. Rosehill Est, Avoca Durban Sugar.

        Mymood and Moolemia bought land and settled down in Aovca.

         Mymoods second wife is Rusoolum daughter of Soobhanee

Nally Mahomed is the son of Mowla Khan and Soobhanee. His is also the step son – in- law and Half Brother to Rusoolum  and he is the Brother of Ethwaroo.

Nally Mohomed passed away at a young age. His children were taken care of by Ethwaroo.

Sakina is the daughter of Mymood Khan and Moolemia.She is the sister of Hasona,Raseedhun(wife of Ethwaroo), Nasibun(wife of Gajee Khan),Ramjohn Khan and Fathima.

Noor Khan and Fathma Bi Bi

Noor Khan also known as Abbas Khan was born on 3rd May 1910 to Ethwaroo and Raseedhun. He was the owner of Supercraft Manufacturing Company (Pty) Ltd, which manufactured Mattresses.He passed away on 15 January 1970.

Fathma was born on 22 February 1926. She was the daughter of Ramjohn Khan and Boodhia. She passed away on 26 April 2007.

Noor Khans Father-in-law Ramjohn Khan is also his maternal uncle making Fathma Khan and Noor Khan first Cousins.They are also first cousins to Rahima Bee (Noor Khans first wife) .

Rahima and Noor

Rahima Bee was the daughter of Nasibun and Gajee Khan. She married her first cousin Noor Khan also known as Abbas Khan, who is the son of Ethwaroo Khan and Raseedhun.

After Rahima Bee passed away Noor Khan married Rahimas maternal uncle Ramjohn Khans daughter Fathma.

Badroon Nisa and Khairoon Bee passed away.

Ramjohn Khan and Boodhia

Ramjohn Khan is the only son of Mymood Khan and  Moolemia.He is the brother of Hasona,Nasibun (Wife of Gajee Khan),Sakina(wife of Nally Mahomed), Raseedhun (wife of Ethwaroo) and Fathima.

Ramjohn was a shopkeeper, he owned a shop called “If Not Supply Store” in Greenwood Park, Durban.

  • Madina Bi Bi married Omar Khan son of Ethwaroo and Raseedhun.
  • Fathma Bi Bi is the 2nd wife of Noor Khan son of Ethwaroo and Raseedhun.
  • Hanifa Bi Bi Married Abdul Rahim Khan.
  • Aysha Bi Bi Married Abdul Rehman Khan.
  • Abdul Rahim Khan and Abdul Rehman Khan were Twin Brothers.

Mowla Khan and Soobhanee

Mowla and shoobhanee

Soobhanee was from Faizabad (Uttar Pradesh). She married Muhammad Ally from Bihar. They had a daughter named Rusoolum. Soobhanee was left in grief after the death of Muhammed Ally. she was then enticed by agents to immigrate to Natal.

Soobhanee along with her 1 year old daughter Rusoolum arrived in Natal on Enmore I which sailed from Calcutta on 1 August 1874 and arrived at Port Natal on  1 September 1874. She Indentured at Shires, J.E. Sugar.
Mowla Khan was from Nanpara (Uttar Pradesh). He arrived in Natal on the Plassey which sailed from Calcutta and arrived at Port Natal on  13 February 1875.He Indentured at Shires, J.E. Sugar.

Soobhanee met Mowla Khan on the plantation. They married and had 3 sons Ethwaroo ,Noor and Nally Mahomed (Wally Mahomed).

Ethwaroo and Raseedhun

Ethwaroo was born in 1878 to Mowla Khan and Soobhanee. He married Raseedhun born in 1886 she is the daughter of Mymood Khan and Moolemia. They had seven children together.

Raseedhun is the sister of Hasona ,Nasibun(wife of Gajee Khan),Sakina(wife of Nally Mahomed),Ramjohn and Fathima.

Ethwaroo is the brother of Nally Mahomed and half brother to Rusoolum (daughter of Soobhanee) .
